ELVN textiles is committed to safeguarding the knowledge gained from the matriarchs as well as a regenerative practice.  Textiles are an important, tangible medium through which we can transmit history and compassion from one generation to the next, and from maker to holder.  These are everyday objects meant to be lived with — to bring texture, care, and story into the spaces we inhabit.

Many ELVN piece(s) are a contemporary expression of bojagi — made to hold light, memory, and presence.  Composed from repurposed cloth and stitched in-studio, these works draw on Korean patchwork traditions and heirloom quilting to create objects that are both functional and reflective.  When placed in front of a window, light shines through the fabric like softened stained glass.

My ELVN x Old Stone Trade capsule collection of cushions are an evolution of a quilt pattern taught to me by my Grandmother called Lightning In The Rainforest with a David Hockney-inspired color palette
